Simplot Serves Up Smiles During National School Breakfast Week

National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) is all about promoting the importance of a healthy school breakfast in a child’s life and the impact it has inside the classroom. Studies show student participants have better attendance and fewer behavioral problems.

Simplot’s K-12 Team is proud to support this program and commemorated the occasion by serving Simplot products at two schools in the West Ada School District, the largest in Idaho.

The theme of this year’s NSBW was “Surf’s Up With School Breakfast." On the first day, our K-12 Team helped serve “Brunch for Lunch,” featuring an all-time favorite: Simplot Reduced-Sodium Tater Gems®. Two days later, the team put more smiles on student faces with Simplot® Simple Goodness™ Fruit Raspberry Crumbles, IQF in tasty parfaits for breakfast.

The celebration was a chance to collaborate with K-12 foodservice workers who nourish thousands of children daily, contributing to the nearly 12 million kids who participate in school breakfast programs throughout the U.S.
