Boise, ID- The JR Simplot Company is voluntarily recalling approximately 142 cases of its Simplot Classic Vegetables - Blend Mix Veg 5way 12/2.5# because it may contain undeclared soybeans (edamame). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soybeans run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

There have been no reported illnesses or injury associated with this product recall to date.

The product recall is limited to the product listed below.

The side of each case and each interior bag is marked with the manufacturing code. The recall is limited to the specific timeframe listed above. Product bearing other “manufacturing codes” or “time stamps” are not affected.

Customers and Distributors who are being notified of the recall are directed to cease selling, stocking, and serving the specific recalled product listed above. Customers should discard any new products which are made with this recalled Simplot product if soy was not declared on new finished products’ labels.

Simplot requests that affected customers take control of this specific product still within their inventory and inform any of their own customers to whom they also distributed to, to do the same.
